Payments of royalties

Payments of royalties are based on a declarative system.

Before the crops are planted :

All the firms that are likely to produce seeds and plants require from SICASOV license agreements for each of the protected varieties they want to propagate. These requests are transferred to the relevant breeders or to the assignees who decide to grant or not the corresponding licenses. The licenses are granted by SICASOV in respect to the decisions. The firms then owe a registration fees.

At the end of sale campaigns :

All the firms state at the end of sale campaign the quantities produced and/or commercialized under license. SICASOV sends the invoices and collects the due royalties according to these statements. These royalties are transferred to the plant breeders.
