In May 2002 FIS (the International Seed Trade Federation) and ASSINSEL (the International Association of Plant Breeders for the Protection of Plant Varieties) merged into ISF (International Seed Federation) which represents members from over 70 countries and works on all matters related to the seed sector worldwide.
